Some FAQ

Hi Ladies,

Some Frequently Asked Questions:

Tell me about this Mentor Program. What can I expect from my Mentor?

Your Mentor is there to provide ongoing, proactive support, information and contact. Most contact will be through email or by phone, but there will be opportunities to meet as well. If you are out of state, it will be all email/phone. You can expect contact at least twice a month. You can expect tips and suggestions, but not specific training advice.

I need help with training for this event. Where can I get that?

For specific training, Danskin has partnered with Active.com and created specific training plans for beginner, intermediate and advanced triathletes. The link for that is here: http://training.active.com/ActiveTrainer/listing.do?listing=920
These are 12-week training plans which begin May 25, 2009.

What exactly did I sign up for?

My friend, you're going to do a Sprint Triathlon! You'll swim .5 miles (900 yds), bike 12 miles and then run 3.1 miles.

Wow! I'm going to do that?

Yes! But fear not, over the next 4 months, your Mentors will be scheduling clinics to assist on topics such as Nutrition, Open Water Swimming, Finding Time to Train, Fix-a-Flat, Bike Etiquette, and Transitions.

I have specific race day and training questions. Where do I go?

The best email for Race Specific info is info@sheroxtri.com. This is the email to use for registration questions/confirmations, category/division questions or relay information.
Also, for maps, specific course information and times/dates, go here: http://www.danskinwomenstri.com/Seattle.htm

My friend is also doing Danskin and wants a Mentor. Is she too late?

Nope! Just have her email puppashmuf@gmail.com or perkyp@comcast.net with her name, email, phone, and address.

Cheers, Ladies!
